Beginning of the Royal Legacy
There are in London, and in other cities of the UK and of other parts of the world. certain establishments which appear untouched by the ravages of human progress; places which to enter is almost to cross the threshold of time as though it were of no account, and wherein to linger is to spend precious moments in a bygone age. Of such is the House of Penhaligon, one of the few remaining, traditional English perfumeries of the nineteenth century. Now situated in Wellington Street, Covent Garden, London, Penhaligor’s retains not only all the charm and atmosphere of the Victorian era, but also many of the original perfumes and toilet preparations which where made and sold to a fashionable clientele so very long ago. The firm was founded in 1870 and for over 100 years occupied premises in Old Bond Street. In 1975, the firm moved to its present address but it carefully preserved its antiquity almost to the last detail.

Otto of Neroli, bigarade 1 oz.
Otto of Orange 4 oz.
Otto of Citron. 4 oz.
Otto of Bergamot 4 oz.
Otto of Rosemary 2 oz.
Mix with agitation; then allow to stand for a few months in perfect quiet place before bottling.
